Maureen DeBellis is a spiritual director, inter-spiritual companion, a teacher of Heart Rhythm Meditation (HRM) and a retreat guide for the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.  She has a BA in Marriage and Family Studies from DeSales Univ and a Graduate Level Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA.  Her corporate career includes 30+ years in the optical glass industry as an account rep.

For much of the last two decades, Maureen has been exploring spirituality, mysticism and prayer.  Her interest in meditation began with centering prayer before shifting to Heart Rhythm Mediation (HRM) in 2014. Her formal training in the way of the heart began in 2015 when she enrolled in the intensive two-year meditation training program at the Institute for Applied Meditation on the Heart in Tucson, AZ.

Maureen has a private practice of individual and group spiritual direction. She serves as a meditation teacher, mentor and coach in the Heart Rhythm Meditation Community and a contract spiritual director and supervisor of spiritual directors at Moravian Theological Seminary.

Her spirituality, while primarily rooted in the Christian saints and mystics, embraces practices that develop the spiritual heart. Maureen believes spiritual formation is ongoing and multi-faceted.
